AirGrub, an app for air travelers to pre-order and pick up freshly prepared food without waiting in line, has raised $1.5 million in angel funding. The investors were not named.
MILLBRAE, CA, November 16 – AirGrub today announced it has secured $1.5 million in angel investment funding to continue to allow travelers to take control of their food choices at the airport. Showcasing its momentum since its launch at San Francisco
International Airport in July 2015, AirGrub has doubled its orders and continues to increase downloads, users and revenue growth.
Allowing travelers to take control of their food choices at the airport, AirGrub is available in San Francisco International Airport and also recently launched in John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and Logan International Airport in Boston. In addition, AirGrub recently expanded its advisory board to include Shannon Stubo, LinkedIn’s CMO and SVP of corporate communications, and former Cisco Chief Marketing Officer Blair Christie. Joining Stubo and Christie, AirGrub also announced Judith Byrd, president of Byrd Retail Group, and Joshua Reynolds, head of marketing at Quantifind, as new members of the advisory board.
