Bellagio view isn't the only draw of prime steakhouse __ gamingtoday. com
This week I ventured out for steak, and anyone who is a regular reader of my column is not shocked by my food choice. What is shocking is somehow I haven’t made it to Prime Steakhouse at the Bellagio.
It’s not like I’m not at the Bellagio very often. I’m there playing poker quite often yet I never dined at Prime.
The minute you walk in you can feel the class and elegance of the décor and that’s even before you see what, for me, is one of Las Vegas’ best
attractions, the Bellagio Fountains.
Next to the neon of the Las Vegas Strip the Fountains is the most famous landmark in Vegas. Prime Steakhouse is located downstairs right at Lake Bellagio so you get to take in the view of the fountains during your meal.
We started our meal with salads as I went with a classic Caesar that was good and my friend went with the Market Tomato. This salad was a beautiful presentation of Burrata Cheese, Tomatoes, Arugula, and Balsamic Vinegar and Basil.
They were out of the Bone-In Filet so we both had the Peppercorn Crusted New York Strip. My steak was fantastic, cooked to perfection and so flavorful. A great steak needs no sauce with it but I made an exception when both my friend and the waiter said to try the Soy-Rice Wine Sauce.
Honestly, that may have been the best steak sauce I’ve tasted. We also had side dishes of sautéed mushrooms and creamed Spinach; both were very good.
At this point I was stuffed and, as shocking as it may sound, I actually passed on dessert. My friend enjoyed a trio of fresh sorbets, which looked to be a nice light choice for dessert. Some of the flavors they offered were coconut, mango, pineapple, lemon and strawberry.
The wait staff was amazing with their knowledge of the menu, helpful suggestions and their attentiveness to us all night. My glass of tea never hit bottom before another fresh glass appeared at the table. I really don’t know how I hadn’t been here before. That clearly was an error by me and I will be back real soon.
The combination of the elegant décor along with impeccable service, one of the most amazing views on the Strip and sensational steak makes Prime Steakhouse a must place to try for yourself. I enjoyed it so much that for only the fourth time writing this column I give Prime my Top Rating of 4 Forks.
